Your skin tells all!

It really does reflect your health and wellbeing, it indicates your stress levels and of course it shows whether you have made age prevention part of your regular beauty routine.

Don’t worry though, even if you haven’t been the kindest to your skin, it’s never too late to step up your skin care routine and reap the health and beauty rewards.

  • Never, ever go to bed and sleep in your make-up! No matter how tired you are, always remove your make-up and cleanse your skin thoroughly. Over time this poor skin care practice will end up blocking your skin’s pores and causing problems to your epidermis, such acne and premature aging.
  • Choose the right cleanser for your skin type.
    If you have Dry skin, choose a creamy cleanser.
    For oily skin, choose a gel cleanser.
    And of course make sure you choose a pH-balanced facial soap if your prefer using a soap cleanser.
  • Use a muslin cloth to wash your face, as this will help slough off dead skin cells.
  • As a natural skin whitener, you can use a small amount of baking soda in your cleanser, this will give you a lighter, brighter looking skin without bleaching,
  • Exfoliate your face, neck and décolletage 2-3 times a week, ensuring that the skin is kept polished and clean and free from dead skin cells. Be careful to be gentle when exfoliating, use circular motions outwards rather than scrubbing your skin, this will only cause irritation.
  • Always ensure that you use an alcohol-free toner. If you see “alcohol denat” in the ingredients, steer clear of this. It will strip your skin of its natural oils. A good herbal one is rose water.
